Flapjack Friday

With a loving nod to Dorothy Snarker for her Tank Top Tuesday genius, and a warm smile to Saturday Night Live for their Weekend Update Thursday, I bring you Flapjack Friday. (Look out for Training Update Tuesday from next week)

So, Flapjack Friday? The food I'm consuming in training and the fluids that are washing it down. With a desire to be as organic and natural as possible, we'll be experimenting with Lucozade equivalent homebrews, sustaining flapjack homebakes and oh, so much more! (who writes this?) Calorie intake needs to be going up up up. Watch this space. 

Anyway, Today sees Our Daily Bread - the first loaf out of the borrowed bread maker (thanks Rach, thanks Phil).
 
Mark 1 Organic Wholemeal,... that very encouragingly, does look and indeed taste like bread. Beginners luck, or maybe the breadmaker is foolproof? Bring on the jam ;o)

Anyone got breadmaking experience to share? Any tips, advice, recipes?
